Bars, Clubs and Food

Bars & Clubs

Dixie’s is definitely the foreigner hot spot, with a strong sporting influence. However there are two bars and several pool tables. Generally the evening vibe is pretty funky.

The Buddha bar is the chilled option in Morzine, filled with awesome Buddhist furniture. It has a Cafe feel in the day but gets busy in the evening making it a hub of activity.

Seasonaires tend to hang out at either The Cavern or Hotel Ridge. The Cavern is probably the best place to party, it’s always heaving with people and has a great atmosphere with a wide selection of drinks. Plus their live DJ’s are normally really decent.

Food

Morzine, although a small town has plenty of restaurants and cafes. From Pizza /Pasta and steak to typical mountain food and Savoyard specialities. Le Tyrolien is a must for pizza lovers! There is even Indian , the Maharaja which is pretty good although a little expensive.

Of course there are burgers and crepe places for a quick fix. The Burger Place is definitely the way to head for the best burger!

For supermarkets you need to head for the helpfully named “Shoppi” about 100m from the Super Morzine Gondola. Or if your looking for a bigger selection and slightly cheaper prices you will need to head down the mountain to St.Jean d’Alups , where you can find the Champion Supermarche.
