Preparing for your holiday

Equipment

It is best to get all your hard and soft gear before your arrive in resort. This will give you access to a wider selection of sizes and styles at cheaper prices. Here are some excellent retailers in the UK:

LCB Skate, Camden – www.lcbsurfstore.com

The Snowboard Shop ,Fleet - www.thesnowboardshop.co.uk

Snow & Rock, Nationwide – www.snowandrock.com

Mayhem Board Store, York - www.mayhemboardstore.co.uk

Items not to forget

  • Sun cream / block
  • Lip balm
  • Sun glasses
  • Ski / snowboard bag

Insurance

It is imperative that you have the right level of cover for your season. Accidents do happen and it is unwise to think that the E111 will cover all your needs. The Carte Nomis can be bought in resort for around £12 , this entitles the holder to emergency transport off the mountain but does not cover medical expenses. This is where a specific winter sports insurance policy comes into its own.

Insure and Go are an excellent provider of such cover at good prices.
