Dixie’s is definitely the foreigner hot spot, with a strong sporting influence. However there are two bars and several pool tables. Generally the evening vibe is pretty funky.

The Buddha bar is the chilled option in Morzine,filled with awesome Buddhist furniture. It has a Cafe feel in the day but gets busy in the evening making it a hub of activity.

Seasonaires tend to hang out at either The Cavern. The Cavern is probably the best place to party, it’s always heaving with people and has a great atmosphere with a wide selection of drinks. Plus their live DJ’s are normally really decent.

Opera and Paradis are the two night clubs which are open most nights from midnight until the early hours.

Food

Morzine, although a small town has plenty of restaurants and cafes. From Pizza /Pasta and steak to typical mountain food and Savoyard specialities, The Grange and Numero Dix are both excellent examples. Le Tyrolien is a must for pizza lovers! Of course there are burgers and crepe places for a quick fix. The L'Eboulle is definitely the way to head for the best burger!

For a supermarket you need to head to Ed about 1500m from the chalet, opposite the restuarnt , Chaudanne. Or if you are looking for a bigger selection and slightly cheaper prices you will need to head down the mountain to St.Jean d’Alups approx 10 mins , where you can find a large Carrefour Supermarche.
