Preparing for your holiday

Equipment

It is best to get all your hard and soft gear before your arrive in resort. This will give you access to a wider selection of sizes and styles at cheaper prices. Here are some excellent retailers in the UK:

Insurance

It is imperative that you have the right level of cover for your holiday. Accidents do happen and it is unwise to think that the E111 will cover all your needs.

Insure and Go are an excellent provider of such cover at good prices.

Travel

By Air – Morzine is only 75mins from Geneva airport and is serverd by many of the low cost airlines. Skyscanner is a great cheap flight finder website.

By Train – There are fairly regular train services operated from the French ferry ports to Thonon or it is just as easy to take the Eurostar from Paris/Lille and then the TGV to Cluses or Thonon-les-Bains. Where you can then get a coach/ bus to Morzine

By Car – Morzine is about 9 hr drive from the ferry ports, and is approximately 1000km from London.

Take the A40 to Cluses and pick up signs to Morzine / Avoriaz.

Tip : Allow about £40 for tolls each way.

Transfers

Transfers are available from Geneva airport direct to Chalet Nomis in Morzine and can be booked by me at the following supplementary costs.

Shared Transfer
This is a door to door service with a maximum wait when arriving into the airport of ONE HOUR regardless of whether your flight is delayed. The maximum vehicle size is 8 passenger seats. If party size is 10 the additional 2 people will be in a separate vehicle. €30 per person, each way

Private Transfer
Guaranteed no waiting time, door to door service and flexible pickup time for the return leg of your journey. No sharing - you have the vehicle to yourself!

Up to10 people - €368 each way

Transfers are payable via cash in Euros or cheque on your departure day from Chalet Nomis

The transfers are operated by Ski Lifts, Morzine.
